configuration of extension

Form fields used for configuration of extension can be in the manifest as described for templates, for other extensions there is config.xml (at least for components). Don't know what the rules are. Should it be config.xml for all extensions? Sovainfo (talk) 07:43, 25 September 2013 (CDT)
