Beschreibung
Hier werden Module erstellt oder bearbeitet. Module zeigen in Joomla! Inhalte und/oder Medien rund um den Hauptinhalt an.
Fakten:
- Jede Joomla!-Website benötigt zumindest ein Menü-Modul.
- Alle anderen Modultypen sind beliebig (Beispiel: Newsflash, Banner, Neueste Beiträge).
- Jedes Menü wird von einem Menü-Modul angezeigt (Beispiel mod_mainmenu).
- Gleiche Modultypen dürfen mehrfach Vorkommen.
- Manche Module sind mit Komponenten verlinkt. Beispiel: Jedes Menü-Modul ist mit einer Menü-Komponente verbunden. Ein Menü wird in Joomla! mit seinen Menüeinträgen unter "Menüs" erstellt; dann wird ein Modul für das Menü erstellt. Andere Module wie "Eigenes Modul" oder "Navigationspfad" sind von Komponenten unabhängig. Siehe Module Manager - New/Edit für mehr Informationen zu den unterschiedlichen Modultypen.
Eine Joomla!-Installation beinhaltet 20 Modultypen, zusätzliche Module von Drittherstellern sind im Joomla! Extensions Directory zu finden.
Zugriff
Erweiterungen → Module aus dem Drop-down-Menü des Backends der Joomla!-Installation wählen.

Spalten Überschriften
In der Modul-Tabelle werden unterschiedliche Spalten gezeigt. Ein Klick auf eine Spaltenüberschrift sortiert die Liste nach dessen Wert.
- Reihenfolge. Reihenfolge, in der die Elemente angezeigt werden.
- Kontrollkästchen: Die Kästchen markieren, um ein Element auszuwählen. Um alle auszuwählen, das Kästchen im Spaltenkopf markieren. Nachdem ein oder mehrere Kästchen markiert wurden einen Button der Werkzeugleiste drücken, um eine Aktion auszuführen. Aktionen wie 'Veröffentlichen' können mit mehreren Elementen durchgeführt werden. Andere wie zum Beispiel 'Bearbeiten' funktionieren nur an einzelnen Elementen. Sind mehrere markiert und wird 'Bearbeiten' gedrückt, wird nur das erste geöffnet.
Note: Many toolbar actions can work with multiple items.
- Status. (Veröffentlicht/Versteckt/Papierkorb) Der Veröffentlichungs-Status des Elementes.
- Titel. Der Name des Elements, die Eingabe ist erforderlich. Das Element kann durch Klick auf den Titel geöffnet werden. Der Titel wird wahlweise in der Website angezeigt.
- Position. Die Position, in der das Modul angezeigt wird. Positionen sind Stellen wie "links" oder "rechts", in denen ein Modul platziert werden kann. Positionen sind im verwendeten Seiten-Template definiert. Über Positionen kann ein Modul in einem Beitrag angezeigt werden (Beispiel: "{loadposition xxx}", "xxx" ist die einmalige Position des Modules).

- Typ. Der Systemname des Modules. Joomla! installiert 20 Standard-Module. Viele Erweiterungen fügen eigene Module dazu.
- Seiten. Die Menüeinträge, die das Modul anzeigen. Optionen sind "Alle" für alle Menüeinträge, "Keine" für keinen Menüeintrag und unterschiedliche für ausgewählte Menüeinträge. Ein Modul wird nur im ausgewählten Menüeinträge angezeigt.
- Zugriffsebene. Die anzeigende Zugriffsebene des Elements.
- Sprache. Die Sprache des Elements.
- ID. Einmalige Identifikations-Nummer für das Element, wird automatisch von Joomla vergeben. Sie wird zur internen Identifikation verwendet, man kann die Nummer nicht ändern. Beim Neu-Erstellen zeigt das Feld "0" an, bis man das Element speichert und eine neue ID vergeben wird.
Listen Filter
Site und Administrator Filter
Oben links befindet sich folgender Filter:
- Site. Filtert die Site-Module. Dies ist die Standard-Auswahl, sie zeigt die Module des Frontend.
- Administrator. Die Module des Backends werden hier verwaltet. Sollen keine Administrator-Menüs verändert werden, sind keine Änderungen an den Modulen nötig.
Filter nach teilweisem Titel Elemente können nach teilweisem Titel oder ihrer ID-Nummer gefiltert werden. Es kann auch nach Kategorie oder Veröffentlichungs-Status gefiltert werden.
Filter für Titel-Teile oder ID. Oben links ist ein Filter- oder Suchfeld mit zwei Buttons wie unten angezeigt.

Um nach einem Titel-Teil zu suchen, einen Teil des Titels eingeben und auf "Suche" klicken.
Um nach der ID-Nummer zu filtern, "id:xx" eingeben, wobei "xx" die ID-Nummer ist (zum Beispiel "id:9").
Auf "Zurücksetzen" klicken, um das Filter-Feld zu leeren und den ungefilterten Zustand der Liste wiederherzustellen. Für weitere Filter den Button "Suchwerkzeuge" drücken.

Filter by Status
Lets you show items assigned to a specific state. Use the dropdown list box to select the published state:
- - Select Status -: Show only Published and Unpublished items.
- Trashed: Show only Trashed items. Re-publish by selecting them and clicking on the Publish icon in the toolbar. To permanently delete trashed items:
- Change the filter to Trashed. The Delete icon will now show in the toolbar.
- Select the items you want to permanently delete.
- Click on the Delete icon.
- Unpublished: Show only Unpublished items.
- Published: Show only Unpublished items.
- Archived: Show only Unpublished items.
- All: Show all items, regardless of their published state.

Select a Position from the dropdown list box of available Positions.

Filter by Menu

Lets you show only articles that have a specific menu assigned. The list box will show the menus defined for your site.
- - Select Menu -: Show articles for any menu.
- [your menu]: Show only articles for this menu.
Filter by Access
Lets you show only items that have a specified viewing access level. The list box will show the access levels defined for your site.
- - Select Access -: Show items with any viewing access level.
- Public: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Guest: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Registered: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Special: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Super Users: Show only items with this viewing access level.
Filter by Language
Lets you show only items that have a specific language assigned. The list box will show the languages defined for your site.
- - Select Language -: Show items for any language.
- All: Show items set for 'All' languages.
- English (en-GB): Show items only for this language.
Toolbar
At the top left you will see the toolbar:
The functions are:
- New. Opens the editing screen to create a new module.
- Edit. Opens the editing screen for the selected module. If more than one module is selected (where applicable), only the first module will be opened. The editing screen can also be opened by clicking on the Name of the module.
- Duplicate. Makes a copy of the selected module. The copy is created immediately and is given the same name as the original but prefixed with "Copy of" and/or suffixed with a number (eg. "(2)") so that it can be distinguished from the original and any other copies.
- Publish. Makes the selected modules available to visitors to your website.
- Unpublish. Makes the selected modules unavailable to visitors to your website.
- Check-in. Checks-in the selected modules. Works with one or multiple modules selected.
- Batch. Batch processes the selected modules. Works with one or multiple items selected.
- Trash. Changes the status of the selected modules to indicate that they are trashed. Trashed modules can still be recovered by selecting 'Trashed' in the 'Select Status' filter and changing the status of the modules to Published or Unpublished as preferred. To permanently delete trashed modules, select 'Trashed' in the 'Select Status' filter, select the modules to be permanently deleted, then click the 'Empty Trash' toolbar icon.
- Help. Opens this help screen.
- Options. Opens the Options window where settings such as default parameters can be edited.
Quick Tips
- You can change the order of Modules within a Module Position as follows:
- Select the desired Position using the Position Filter. This will limit the list to Modules that are assigned to this Position.
- Change the order using the Up or Down arrows and changing the order by drag-and drop. The Modules will display in the new order within the Position.
- You can open a Module for editing by clicking on the Module Name. This opens the Module Manager - New/Edit screen.
