Installeer Joomla!

Voordat u met Joomla! kunt beginnen heeft u een werkende installatie van Joomla! nodig. Als u uw site beschikbaar op internet wilt, zorg dan dat u een account heeft op een web server. Voor de meeste mensen betekent dit dat u zich aanmeld bij een hosting bedrijf en een domein aanschaft, die zal dienen als uw website adres.

• Als u Joomla! wilt testenen u heeft nog geen domein, kunt u een werkende installatie zien en mee experimenteren via demo.joomla.org. Als een extra bonus, bevat de demo-site links om een werkende Joomla! website te maken met een proefperiode van 30 dagen. (Let op! Het Joomla! Project ontvangt een royalty als u voor de betaalde hosting kiest via deze website).

• Already have a hosting company? Joomla! is offered by most hosting companies under "One Click Installs" (also called Auto Installers) for their customers. The "One Click Install" method offers an "instant" installation of Joomla! which is quick and easy. Follow the instructions your host provides.

• Use the conventional method of installation. This requires you to copy the Joomla! zip file to your hosting account, unzip, create a database, and then run the installation. • Install Joomla! on your own computer (without your site appearing on the Internet), you can install it using the XAMPP package. Install XAMPP and then use the "conventional method" to get your Joomla! test site working.
