Description
Le gestionnaire de modules est l'endroit où vous pouvez ajouter et modifier les modules Joomla!. Dans Joomla!, les modules sont utilisés pour afficher du contenu et des médias autour du contenu principal.
Quelques informations sur les modules :
- Tous les sites Joomla! nécessitent au moins l'utilisation d'un module Menu ;
- Tous les autres modules sont facultatifs. (Exemples : Derniers articles, Bannières, Fil d'actualité) ;
- Tout Menu est accompagné d'un module de menu. (Exemple mod_mainmenu) ;
- Des occurrences multiples de types de modules similaires.
- Certains modules sont liés à des composants. Par exemple chaque module Menu est lié à un composant de menu. Pour définir un menu dans Joomla!, vous devez créer le menu et les éléments de menu en utilisant le gestionnaire de menu et ensuite créer un module de type Menu pour l'afficher à la position souhaitée à l'écran. D'autres modules, tel que les Contenu personnalisés ou Fil de navigation, ne dépendent d'aucun autre contenu.
Comment y accéder ?
Sélectionnez Extensions → Modules depuis le menu déroulant du site d'administration de votre installation de Joomla!.

En-Têtes de colonne
Dans la table contenant les modules, sont présentes différentes colonnes affichées ci-dessous. Cliquez sur l'en-tête de colonne pour trier la liste dans l'ordre des valeurs de cette colonne.
- Ordre. Les éléments triés vont y être affichés.
- Case à cocher. Cochez cette case pour sélectionner un ou plusieurs éléments. Pour sélectionner tous les éléments, cochez la case dans l'en-tête de colonne. Après qu'une ou plusieurs cases aient été cochées, cliquez sur un bouton de la barre d'outils pour appliquer cette action sur le ou les éléments sélectionnés. De nombreuses actions de la barre d'outils, tels que la publication ou la dépublication, peuvent fonctionner pour plusieurs éléments en même temps. D'autres, telles que éditer, ne fonctionnent que pour un seul élément à la fois. Si plusieurs éléments sont sélectionnés et que vous appuyez sur Editer, le premier élément sera ouvert pour son édition.
Note: Many toolbar actions can work with multiple items.
- Statut. (Publié, Non publié, Dans la corbeille) Le statut de publication pour l'élément.
- Titre. Le nom de l'élément. Pour un lien de menu, le titre qui s'affichera dans le menu. Pour un article ou une catégorie, le titre peut éventuellement être affiché sur la page web. Cette entrée est requise. Vous pouvez ouvrir l'élément pour le modifier en cliquant sur son titre.
- Position. Permet de contrôler l'affichage de la position dans la liste.

- Type. Le nom système du module. Joomla! propose 20 types standards de modules. De nombreuses extensions Joomla! proposent des modules complémentaires. Pour plus d'informations sur chacun des modules standards, vous pouvez consulter : Gestion des modules Nouveau/Modifier.
- Pages. Les liens de menu sur lesquels ce module s'affichera. Les options disponibles sont "Tout" pour tous les liens de menu, "Aucun" pour aucun lien de menu et "Sélectionnés" pour une sélection de liens de menu. Un module ne s'affichera que sur les liens de menu qui ont été sélectionnés.
- Accès. Le niveau d'accès pour la visualisation de cet élément.
- Langue. Langue de l'élément.
- ID. C'est un numéro d'identification unique attribué automatiquement à un élément par Joomla. Il est utilisé pour identifier l'élément en interne et il vous est impossible de modifier ce nombre. Lors de la création d'un nouvel élément, ce champ affiche 0 jusqu'à l'enregistrement de la nouvelle entrée. A ce stade, un nouveau numéro lui est alors attribué.
Liste des filtres
Filtre Site et Administration
En haut à gauche, vous verrez les filtres suivant :
- Site. Filtre sur les modules du site public. C'est la sélection par défaut et elle permet de gérer les modules du site public.
- Administration. Ceci permet de gérer les modules du site d'administration. Si vous devez changer le contenu des menus d'administration du site Joomla!, aucune modification n'est requise dans les modules.
Filter by Partial Title or ID
In the upper left is a search field and 2 buttons.
- To filter by partial title, enter part of the title and click 'Search'

- To filter by ID number, enter "id:xx", where "xx" is the ID number (for example, "id:29").
- Click 'Clear' to clear the Filter field and restore the list to its unfiltered state.
Filter by Status, Position, Type, Menu Item, Access and Language
In the upper right area, above the column headings, are following drop-down list boxes as shown below:
The selections may be combined. Only items matching both selections will display in the list.

Filter by Status
Lets you show items assigned to a specific state. Use the dropdown list box to select the published state:
- - Select Status -: Show only Published and Unpublished items.
- Trashed: Show only Trashed items. Re-publish by selecting them and clicking on the Publish icon in the toolbar. To permanently delete trashed items:
- Change the filter to Trashed. The Delete icon will now show in the toolbar.
- Select the items you want to permanently delete.
- Click on the Delete icon.
- Unpublished: Show only Unpublished items.
- Published: Show only Unpublished items.
- Archived: Show only Unpublished items.
- All: Show all items, regardless of their published state.

Filter by Menu

Lets you show only articles that have a specific menu assigned. The list box will show the menus defined for your site.
- - Select Menu -: Show articles for any menu.
- [your menu]: Show only articles for this menu.
Filter by Access
Lets you show only items that have a specified viewing access level. The list box will show the access levels defined for your site.
- - Select Access -: Show items with any viewing access level.
- Public: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Guest: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Registered: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Special: Show only items with this viewing access level.
- Super Users: Show only items with this viewing access level.
Filter by Language
Lets you show only items that have a specific language assigned. The list box will show the languages defined for your site.
- - Select Language -: Show items for any language.
- All: Show items set for 'All' languages.
- English (en-GB): Show items only for this language.
Toolbar
At the top left you will see the toolbar:
The functions are:
- New. Opens the editing screen to create a new module.
- Edit. Opens the editing screen for the selected module. If more than one module is selected (where applicable), only the first module will be opened. The editing screen can also be opened by clicking on the Name of the module.
- Duplicate. Makes a copy of the selected module. The copy is created immediately and is given the same name as the original but prefixed with "Copy of" and/or suffixed with a number (eg. "(2)") so that it can be distinguished from the original and any other copies.
- Publish. Makes the selected modules available to visitors to your website.
- Unpublish. Makes the selected modules unavailable to visitors to your website.
- Check-in. Checks-in the selected modules. Works with one or multiple modules selected.
- Batch. Batch processes the selected modules. Works with one or multiple items selected.
- Trash. Changes the status of the selected modules to indicate that they are trashed. Trashed modules can still be recovered by selecting 'Trashed' in the 'Select Status' filter and changing the status of the modules to Published or Unpublished as preferred. To permanently delete trashed modules, select 'Trashed' in the 'Select Status' filter, select the modules to be permanently deleted, then click the 'Empty Trash' toolbar icon.
- Help. Opens this help screen.
- Options. Opens the Options window where settings such as default parameters can be edited.
Quick Tips
You can change the order of Modules within a Module Position as follows:
- Select the desired Position using the Position Filter. This will limit the list to Modules that are assigned to this Position.
- Change the order using the Up or Down arrows and changing the order by drag-and drop. The Modules will display in the new order within the Position.
